About Me
I’m Kaitlyn, a Registered Psychotherapist (Q)
Hello and Welcome!

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate unique challenges, allowing them to lead fulfilling, empowered lives.

I take great pride in being part of my clients’ journeys toward achieving the life they desire. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and an attachment-based perspective. As my practice evolves, I also integrate elements of somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care. I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing from a range of approaches to support deeper emotional insight, body awareness, and healing. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where your goals, values, and strengths are central to the work we do together.
My professional journey is deeply rooted in a commitment to supporting individuals as they face life’s challenges. I am genuinely dedicated to helping you break through obstacles, cultivate positive change, and foster personal growth. In our work together, you can expect a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment—one where you are free to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with confidence. I am fully committed to your well-being, growth, and progress, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My Story
Growing up, I struggled with expressing myself and understanding my emotions. This curiosity led me to psychology and, later, to a pivotal moment in my life—facing psychogenic non-epileptic cluster seizures while starting university. I had to confront my past and heal in order to move forward, and this journey taught me the transformative power of communication and self-trust.

Through psychotherapy, I learned how to communicate my emotions and trust my ability to cope with challenges. Later, volunteering at a mental health and addictions hospital further opened my eyes to the stigma still in place around mental illness and the lack of resources for those struggling. I realized that by fostering adaptive coping skills and trusting ourselves, we can overcome even the most difficult situations.

As a therapist today, I’m committed to helping others navigate their own struggles, empowering them to trust themselves and develop the tools they need to heal and grow. My journey has shown me that healing starts with understanding and expressing our emotions, and I’m honoured to help others create the life they deserve.
